Williams test 'shark-fin' engine cover

Williams test 'shark-fin' engine cover

The Williams team have joined rivals Red Bull and Renault in trying a form of "shark-fin" engine cover during testing on Wednesday.

German Nico Rosberg tested the revised engine cover for the first time this morning at the Paul Ricard circuit, where all ten teams are testing this week.

The new cover, first introduced by Red Bull and then by Renault, is designed to improve airflow to the rear wing.

The Honda team have also introduced a visible update to their car, trying out a new version of the winglets mounted on their front wing.

BMW and Toyota were also testing new aero components.

All teams will be working on their preparations for the Monaco Grand Prix today and tomorrow, switching their focus to work aimed at the Canadian Grand Prix on Friday.
