Red Bull reshuffle engineering team

Red Bull Racing have reshuffled their engineering team prior to the 2009 season.

Former head of race and test engineering Paul Monaghan will move into a more factory-based role under the title head of car engineering.

"His role will be to integrate the design, performance and reliability of the car into on-track performance," said a team statement.

Ian Morgan switches from the chief test engineer role to become head of race engineering, running all trackside operations at races and tests.

The team said the changes were "aimed at strengthening the link between factory and race track activity."
