Engine chief Marmorini leaves Toyota

Toyota have announced that their engine chief Luca Marmorini has left the team.

The Italian, who was the Japanese manufacturer's Senior General Manager of Engines, had been with the company since 1999 and played a key role all of their F1 power plants.

The reasons for Marmorini's departure have not been made clear, but it has forced the team to partake in a reshuffling of their engine staff.

Kazuo Takeuchi will now become Senior General Manager Engine, and he will report to Executive Vice President Yoshiaki Kinoshita who is in charge of both power plants and chassis.
